Our name

Πάντα ῥεῖ

everything flows

Studio Rhei takes its name from Heraclitus. Panta rhei — everything flows. It's the quiet idea behind everything we make: clay in motion, the turn of the wheel, water and fire, nothing standing still for long. A studio is never finished; it's always in the middle of becoming.

Inside Studio Rhei

The space

A working studio, open to all

Tucked just off Kingsland Road, Studio Rhei is a daylight studio five minutes from Dalston Junction. It began as the home of ceramicist Dimitris Papailias and has grown into a shared space where makers work side by side and small groups come to learn.

Everything happens under one roof — throwing, hand building, trimming, glazing and firing. Whether you're sitting at a wheel for the first time or developing your own body of work, there's room here to make.
